Serial Entrepreneur · Ex-Nomura Strategy

I build companies from a blank ledger — and make the numbers hold.

Three ventures founded and scaled across fortified nutrition, healthy foods and sustainable materials — after building strategy for Nomura's Wholesale division and closing $300M+ of M&A at o3 Capital. Now available for select consulting, advisory and expert engagements.

About

A founder who reads balance sheets, and a banker who has run the factory floor.

My career runs both sides of the table: strategy for one of the world's largest investment banks at Nomura, live M&A transactions at o3 Capital, and then three companies of my own built from zero — a fortified rice kernel plant supplying the Government of India's fortification programme, a healthy foods venture, and a plant-based leather startup.

I'm a Chartered Accountant (All India Rank 48), CFA Level 3, and a PGDM from IIM Lucknow — and I actively invest a personal portfolio of ₹60M+ using the same fundamental analysis I bring to engagements. I take on a small number of consulting and advisory mandates each year so each one gets real attention.

How I work

Simple by design

The process

  1. Week 0

A short call. If I can't genuinely help, I'll tell you and point you elsewhere.

  2. Week 1

A written diagnostic: where the numbers leak, what to fix first, and what it should be worth.

  3. The work

Hands-on execution — models, negotiations, plant floors, board decks — not advice left on the table.

  4. The handover

Systems and habits your team keeps running after I leave. No dependency on me.

Ways to engage

  • Project

A defined problem — a raise, a transaction, a plant, an expansion plan — with a clear scope and end date.

  • Retainer

Ongoing fractional CXO or strategy capacity: a fixed number of days a month, board-grade output.

  • Advisory

A sounding board for founders and promoters — regular sessions, direct answers, no decks unless needed.

A small number of mandates at a time, in India or remote — so each one gets real attention.

Skills & range

Depth where it counts

Accounting, corporate finance & valuation

Qualified Chartered Accountant with cross-sector experience; available for accountancy consulting, financial controls and closes. DCF, comparables and transaction valuation; M&A diligence and deal structuring; fundraising, investor decks and capital allocation across $300M+ of live transactions. Financial modelling in Excel at board grade.

Strategy, go-to-market & operations

Division-level strategy at Nomura, customer strategy with Accenture, and hands-on market entry: new segments, new products, supplier negotiation and distribution build-outs. Greenfield plant design and commissioning, machinery selection, process engineering, supplier qualification and quality systems. Data and tools that support this: SQL for analytics, survey design and segmentation analysis.

Capital markets & investing

Sector research and fundamental analysis — winner of a sectoral research competition at IIFT Delhi, published in their magazine. NCFM-certified in capital markets; CFA curriculum through Level 3; active manager of a personal ₹60M+ portfolio.

A fast learner, on record

At Accenture Strategy, senior management specifically called out my rapid learning — including picking up SQL on the fly to run survey analytics, and becoming the single point of contact for the client and analytics team within weeks of joining.

Building Life Agro, I went from founder to fluent in the technicalities of every machine and part on the fortified rice kernel line — equipment selection, process parameters, and maintenance — because the plant couldn't afford me not to be.

In the ecosystem

I'm regularly invited by schools and institutions to judge Shark Tank–style entrepreneurship events — evaluating student and founder pitches on the same criteria I've been on both sides of: the numbers, the moat, and whether the plan survives contact with reality.

Earlier, I competed on the other side of the table: CFA Global Research Challenge zonal winner, Bloomberg Internship Challenge national finalist, and campus winner of Reliance's Ultimate Pitch — seven competition finals in all.

In my own words

Let's talk

If the numbers are the hard part, I'm the right pair of hands.
